Case study · 2026
Lepola is a log cabin in Ahokylä, Finland, close to Lake Ahvenjärvi. I designed and built a bilingual website where guests see free dates, get the price instantly and send a booking request. The owner approves it with one click.

Hi! 👋 I'm the TK Web Solutions AI assistant. Feel free to ask about websites, pricing, or anything else – I'll reply instantly!
01 · Starting point
Before the new site, every Lepola booking happened over the phone. Guests called to ask about free dates and prices, and the owner kept track of reservations by hand.
The goal was simple: guests can book the cabin whenever it suits them, and the owner handles bookings without a single extra phone call.
02 · Challenge
Booking a cabin is a small decision for a guest but a big deal for the owner. The system had to be effortless for guests and dependable for the owner.
Guests need to see at a glance which dates are free, and the same dates must never be booked twice.
The price depends on the number of guests and extras. Guests should see the total before they send anything.
Every booking is a request the owner approves or declines. Deciding has to be quick, even from a phone.
The owner must be able to change prices and bookings without calling a developer.
So that international guests can book too, the whole site and booking flow also work in English.
03 · Booking flow
The calendar, price calculator and emails form one continuous path. Guests move through it at their own pace; the owner only has to make the call.
Step 01 / 05
The calendar shows booked dates in real time. Arrival and departure take two taps, and nights that are already taken can't be selected.
Step 02 / 05
Once guests and extras are chosen, the total is shown line by line. No guessing and no surprises.
Step 03 / 05
The guest fills in their contact details and sends the request. A receipt lands in their inbox right away, so they know it went through.

05 · Website
The winter hero leads straight to the booking calendar. After that, the page answers, in order, the questions a guest would otherwise ask on the phone.
Drag the slider: the same page in both languages. The language choice is remembered when the guest comes back.
People often look for cabins on their phones, so the calendar and form were designed to work with a thumb.
